    Join us to learn more about UNG's Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program. The DNP program provides an advanced nursing degree to registered nurses with a master's degree seeking a terminal practice doctorate. The DNP represents the preferred educational preparation for advanced practice nurses as recommended by the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN) and the Institute of Medicine (IOM).

    You have the option to complete an area of concentration in nursing education or executive leadership for those desiring to pursue a career in academic or clinical education or nursing administration.

    Program Facts:
    • Offered Online
    • Asynchronous online classes with optional synchronous sessions in some courses.
    • 38 semester hours
    • 5 semesters (full-time) and 8 semesters (part-time)
    • Each core DNP course meets one day per month
    • Minimum 2 years RN experience is required
    • Current employment in a healthcare related field is required
